Once ads have been created in the Creative Asset Management tool, the next step is to publish them to Facebook.
The steps required to publish ads will vary, depending on the internal approval process required by your brand. There are three primary options, as follows:
In the Ad Sets section of the Creative Asset Management tool, you'll see two buttons related to the review process: Rough Draft Review Package and Final Review Package. No matter what your approval process is, the first step is always to click Rough Draft Review Package when you're ready to publish your ads.
Below is an overview of the three primary steps available in the creative approval process.
#1. Skip Review & Publish
If you wish to skip the review and approval process entirely and instead publish ads directly to Facebook, start by clicking Rough Draft Review Package.
On the next screen, you'll see the option to Skip Review & Publish. Select the checkbox next to the ads you want to publish, or click Select All, then click Skip Review & Publish to continue.
A modal will pop up prompting you to confirm you wish to skip the review process and publish ads. Click Yes, Publish! to continue.
Your ads will now begin publishing to Facebook. This process usually only takes a few minutes. The initial status will display as Approved - Ready on the main page of the Creative Asset Management tool.
This is a temporary status that will quickly update to Approved - Publishing once the system begins publishing the ads to Facebook.
Once publishing is complete, the status will update to Approved - Published.
Once ads are published, they are ready to be used in new campaign builds.

#2. Submit Rough Draft Package
If you wish to run your ads through an internal review and approval process before publishing ads to Facebook, start by clicking Rough Draft Review Package.
On the next screen, you'll see the option to Submit Rough Draft Package. Select the checkbox next to the ads you want to submit for review, or click Select All, then click Submit Rough Draft Package to continue.
A modal will pop up prompting you to describe the ad package for the reviewer and to select the email recipient(s) you want the package to be sent to. In order for someone to review ads, they must already be a ROUX user.
When ready, click Submit.
The email recipient(s) will receive an email from ROUX indicating that creatives are ready for their approval.
Once the email recipient(s) open the email, they will be prompted to Sign In.
They will then be directed to the Rough Draft Review page. On this page there will be a preview of the ad on the left, and a section on the right where editing and ad approval/denial takes place.
From here, they will have the option to click View All Creatives in the top right to see all ads at once (if multiple exist), otherwise they can click through one by one to review.
Two options exist when reviewing each creative:
Edit Copy: The copy can be edited directly, if desired.
Notes: The reviewer can enter any notes they have for the ad.
The next step is to approve the ad, request edits, or disapprove it altogether. The four options are as follows:
Ad Ready for Client: If the ad is approved in its current form, select this option. It will then be available to send through an external review process, if necessary.
Ad Needs Review: Select this option if you'd like someone else on your team to review this ad. If multiple people are reviewing the ad but only one person holds final approval, this is how you can defer approval to them.
Ad Needs Edits Prior to Approval: If the ad is denied in its current form and requires edits, select this option. Any notes provided will be passed along.
Ad Disapproved for Lifetime: Select this option if the ad should be disapproved, with all assets being unavailable for future use. An image or video having old branding or featuring an outdated product model would be a reason to potentially select this option.
Once all ads have been reviewed, you can provide any final notes (if applicable) then click Submit Package.
The original user that submitted the creative for review will receive an email notification that the creative preview package has been updated. If edits are required, the above process will be repeated until all ads are approved. Once the final approval has been submitted, an email notification will be received indicating that the creative is approved.
Upon opening the email and clicking Sign In, you will be directed to the Creative Package List page which will display the approval status of your ads.
You can click on the line item if you want to re-review the ads. On the next page, click the button Re-Review Package in the top right corner.
You will be prompted to confirm you want to change the Approved status of the creatives and re-review the package.
This completes the rough draft review process.
#3. Submit Final Review Package
Once an ad package has gone through internal review, two options exist:
You can skip any additional review processes and immediately publish the ads to Facebook.
Or you can submit the ads for external review, if anyone outside of your business needs to approve the ads before they can be published.
To initiate the process in either scenario, start by clicking Final Review Package on the main page of the Creative Asset Management tool.
You will then have the option to Skip Review & Publish or Submit Final Package.
From here, the process will mimic one of the two scenarios reviewed above:
